La Canada Flintridge, Calif., January 8, 2009 -- Allen Lund, Allen Lund Company president and founder, will receive the La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce 2008 Businessperson of the Year Award. The award is one of four Community Service Awards presented at the Oakmont Country Club, located in Glendale, Calif., on Thursday, January 15, 2009.
Nominated by a committee lead by Joe Thompson, former La Canada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce board chairperson, Lund is being acknowledged for his contribution to the La Canada Flintridge community in 2008. "At the Allen Lund Company, we approach community service and volunteerism with the same entrepreneurial spirit that our company was built on." Lund continues, "Together we believe we can make a difference locally, nationally, and globally."
Established in 1976 the Allen Lund Company moved from Los Angeles to La Canada in 1980 and have been active in local community and charitable events.
